This month we are doing a class on Wednesday nights called "Becoming a great spiritual friend."  Part of our premise with the class is that there are loads of people in our sphere of relationships that are interested in spiritual things, but often don't have a trusted friend to talk with about spirituality.  And unfortunately, Christians have sometimes ended up doing more to stifle that investigation, rather than help it.  Our hope is to have God work in us, so that we can become the best spiritual friends that we can be... and God willing, we can be helpful in seeing many people connect with God in a meaningful way.

If you're interested in learning more about this concept... let me recommend a couple of books:  "More Ready Than You Realize" by Brian McLaren, and "Evangelism Outside The Box" by Rick Richardson.  Both books do a good job of discussing the changes that are happening in culture right now, and how that can shape the way that we, as followers of Jesus can seek to become great spiritual friends.
